Almost 3 months into planted tanks and seems all the fauna within the tank are dying and plants growing at an extremely slow rate even though tank has been cycled for more than 90 days..
Lost my yamoto [possibly eaten by lizard] and the last cherry due to unknown cause yesterday. Nitrite snail is the only survivor now.
tank - 10 litres
cooling - DIY 4.5v 12cm fan [reduced speed]/ on 24hrs
PH - 6.6 or 7 [api color code very close, can't tell]
ammonia - 0
nitrate - 0ppm
water temperature - 25/26 degrees
filtration - OHF with biohome plus/ sechem stability
air ateration - gex airpump
Lighting - 9 hrs per day, 4 hrs morning, 5 hrs night; tank is enclosed and is only affected by tank light.
Daily regime
- Excel dose, 2 drops diluted in small cup with tank water before adding back to main tank.
- 10% sechem Prime aged water top up, losing water fast due to evaporation.
Weekly
- Weekly 30% WC
- Dose Sechem flourish/potassium 1 drop each, diluted then added to main tank.
- Dose Mosura Mineral plus 2nd day after WC.
Feeding
- Mosura food once per week, but shrimps hasn't been eating or touching them for close to 2 weeks now. Besides the yamoto, the cherry is also highly inactive, food wise possibly due to availability of algae.
