Question borne out of curiousity: Why?
Is it because of rotting uneatened food that contribute to nitrate level/ ammonia level ect? Or due to fauna defecating contributing to the above mentioned? Anyone can enlighten me on this?

feed sparingly as food contributes to nitrate levels in your tank. However, there are also other factors just as imbalances, lights, liquid ferts which also causes algae bloom if these factors are excessive.
