can try ADA pincelette(pai seh wrong spelling) think its 35cm long... with front bended... but if im not wrong its over $100 bucks.
1) Anyone here know where i can get a metal pincer (those used to plant aquatic plants and fine grass) in ultra long edition? I want to use it to pick on things in the tank without dipping my hands into the tank if possible.
2) Is there a manual hand pump available that is compatible to be connected to standard green eheim hoses? The ones i see come with proprietary suction heads which cannot be easily hooked up to regular hoses on both ends. I plan to do some DIY to pump water out from the tank for easy water change.

What kind of items do you want to pick from the bottom of the tank? Big or small?
I know the marine bros has got a very long plastic device to pick corals in their tanks

can try using those metal thing used for BBQ?
those metal thing used for BBQ (thongs) - cant use them with accuracy when picking out small things in the tank.
Caca, i have those very long plastic robotic looking device but then again it doesnt have the accuracy (not fine grip).
The ADA pincette sounds interesting. Wonder if can find anything else similar, cheaper.
How high is your tank? And for planting in a new tank, generally, the best way to do it is to plant it without water. Only water is to the level of the substrate. More over long pinsettes will give you less control.
All ADA pincettes are straight ended. Don't have curved ones.
If you want to do planting of plants like glosso, hairgrass it is definitely advisable to get the Pro Pinsettes L. It is very sharp at the end, sharp enough to use it to kill someone. And so it is a breeze to use it to plant hairgrass.
