    C328. Not more than $3.
Communal tank near the feeder station, right beside the hermit crab tank. I saw it because one fellow was defending its territory in the tank.

Found this on youtube. Pair with fries. Typical cichlid fashion.

YouTube - laetacara curviceps with fry

I suppose people will pay more attention to it if they were housed as a pair on the betta racks together with the Apistos?
I saw the pics of other Laetacara spp. online and they were just as yummy!

Arrgh!! Lucky you!!! To date, all mine had been males! Keep them isolated and update if they will spawn. They are know to be prolific spawners if conditioned properly and housed in appropriate conditions.

They flare like apistos! Only one of them looks like this. The colours of the rest is not so "wow".

Benny, I can't be certain they are not all males now. The suspected female decided to flare like a male.

This is how the others look. Female or just drap male? It is bigger than the showy piece though. Or is the colours seems to be very variable? I looked again at the piece Benny posted and it even showed some gold specks.

Saw a tank of juveniles in Seaview today... Good chance getting a female there.

Another piece flaring. Darker, while still have reds, it has less irridescence.

Yet another one flaring. It has this posturing thing while flaring: the caudal fins will open and close. Then the fish will tilt heads down. It will whip its body like Apisto too.

There. All male right? Anyone knows?

    Local LFS calls them 羊头.
    Taiwan calls them something else.

Sighted in several LFS recently, but juvenile specimen and not so "wow". Give them some time to grow up and settle down, their colours will show.
