Was just wondering whether to add another AC fan to my 2ft planted tank as the temperature is now hovering around 28-29 degrees with the fan running 24/7. Will the addition of another fan lower the temperature further or just make the drop in temperature faster only? []

Probably depends on power of fans, how they are positioned , amount of heat from the lights, hood or not, etc. I think, you can only trial and error...

I think you may only further cool about 1°C or so with additional fan.

    Peter,

place yr fan diagonally blowing fr back right corner to front left corner of the tank. You should be able to achieve 26. Mine is doing 26 now.

Thanks for all the info and suggestions given. My current AC fan is placed between the 2 X 36W PL light fixtures and blowing at the water surface causing some turbulence. Chrissia...are your light fixtures like those that are raise by the 2 supporting structure at each corner of the lights. Mine are those that is flat and extending support fixture type.

Peter, yes. Some brands of lights have specific ones that will fit them, else there's the generic one.
