Roland: I see you like to put moss together with the crypts. Any reason? Prevent drying up of the soil? BTW - what soil combination are you using? Any fertiliser sticks?

hi juggler,

i use a little sphagnum moss at the bottom to prevent fine particles from leaking.

I use coral chips and compost for this species, in proportion of 20-70. The 10% is the sphagnum moss.

I have 2. but the 2nd one was pulled out of aquarium and planted beside the leafy one. havent grow yet.

It is probably not available in singapore, although its not really a very rare species. I got by exchanging with oversea friends.

Oriental farm do not produce or import it as its probably not a very ideal plant for common aquarium. Sphanum moss is dried type, you can find it at nurseries. Life java moss is possible too.

I was the happy owner of a submerged hudoroi forest, but this plant is really sensitive to temperature variations..





When winter was coming, some electric cuts melted them...

Plants are growing fine, even hudoroi, that is recovering of the melting.
