not too sure about when putting the male back...

i will wait till all the fries grew abit bigger and will transfer them to another tank.....

then the male can go back to the female.

and have a happy time! ha

It will be better to leave the fries with the mom for at least 2 - 3weeks beore removing the fries...

The next time round when the pair breeds again, try leaving the male inside together with the fries and observe its behaviour....If the male poses no threat when there is fries, you can actually leave it in there....there won't be a need to remove the male in future breeding times. Saves you space to

have fun raising the fries! I think A. Trifasciata fries are a little slow growing so don't expect them to grow as fast

before i remove the male i observe him first. It seem no harm to the fries. It will only swim the outer surrounding. When he swim pass the entrance the female will swim out use her body to ask the male go away.

This symptom i think is ok. But i still remove the male incase anything happen. First time so must take some precaution.

I use to leave the adult with the fries until the fries is about 1 cm big. But if you decided to separate the adult from the fries, it is better to remove the adult than the fries as the fries is more sensitive to changes..
