Which of the following 2 would be better? the large lighter grey circle is the filter inlet while the smaller darker grey circle is a vertically placed rainbar. the blue arrow indicates how water flows out. Besides these 2, is there another way to position the filter inlet/outlet such that even flow can be achieved throughout the tank? Assume that this is a 422 tank with 2x Eheim Pro2s (either 2026 or 202

I'm thinking that the first picture might be better as in the 2nd picture, the 2 streams of water clash in the middle and might end up cancelling each other's flow

personally i will tilt them 45 degrees
one to hit the middle of back glass and the other to hit the middle of the front glass
that way you technically get a sort of circular flow around the whole tank

My filtration system is one canister power by two MD pumps by parallel setting.
