Mixed the distilled water with Sodium Bicarbonate till 4kH, fill up half ball & drop 4 drop of the regent. The water turn blue, monitor it for one hour and the colour change to greenish blue. Decide to increase the bubble count from 2bps to 3bps.

Just came back a while ago and the colour now is green, my pH is 6.55. Find it fun & very useful.

    Thanks all.

    Hi bro CT13,

Can share where to get the Sodium Bicarbonate? I am trying out the drop checker too but yet to able to get a water with KH=4. Can share how to do it?

    Bro rc311,

There are many brand of sodium bicarbonate in supermarket, i get it from NTUC.

Then go watson to get the distill water. try adding very little sodium bicarbonate at a time till you reach 4kH.

    Hope this help.

Just to deviate alittle...Is the reagent liquid included in all brands of drop checkers even replaceable? I used to have an older one that was unused for quite sometime, after which the reagent liquid in the bottle either dried up or spilled due to storage. Went down to C328 to ask for similar replacements but the aunty told me these are never sold due to the fact that most drop checkers are usually quite "cheap" hence people would usually throw out the old one and get a new one. Would like to hear inputs regarding this matter.
