Water Change Frequency for Planted Tank

Just out of curiousity, how often does all of you do water change ?

Most people suggest to change 1/4 of the tank water weekly... but I thought that after the bacteria convert those NH4 and NO and NO2 to NO3... they are for the plants to absorb them...

Mine 2ft...weekly 10-20% water changed.

Once in a while when I do major re-aquascaping like uprooting... then I will do more than 50% water change.

But I like to add that the water evaporate pretty quickly in my tank so it's like changing 20%-25% like that.

my tank are not planted tanks.

i do 40% every 3 days for my larger tanks (miniumum 4ft)

i do 30% alternate days for smaller tanks (apply for 3ft and below)

Mine is 20% every 4 weeks or so for a heavily planted tank.
