i saw the wild fish when i was there last week...it was amusing because one shop attendant was declaring very loudly to the other one that the heckels were "bulldog heckels". had to resist laughing in his face. domestic devleloped mutant strain appearing in all his wilds?

    Bulldog heckels? Lol~now that's something new i haven't heard!
Well,of all the gimmicky names they give fauna nowadays this definitely tops the list!
Talking about heckels reminds me of altums! On a side note, saw C328 carrying altums in the other day when i was there. They were all individually packed and left in the CRS tanks(with chiller) on the left of the cashier. Looks absolutely beautiful.
Any angelfish fan here got them?

I believe what the shop attendant meant was blueface heckel not bulldog, just a common mistake.

the angels you saw at C328 are Peruvian angels not altums

I've been amazed by Ben since the days at the old market stall. One tiny stall and he could put a full size LFS to shame with his variety. I like the seng poh shop. He keeps his fish in proper displays. The staff may not be knowledgeble but they are friendly and are WILLING to listen to customer advise.

nope, he said bulldog and even described to the other guy the extended fins/body that gives the bulldog discus its distinctive shape (which the fish did not have anyway).

One advice they gave to me and Ranmasatome is "Don't listen to what the forums say. They are all wrong! Listen to us."

The employees of wu hu are nice, down to earth people.

They may not have fantastic knowledge like most users of this forum. But nice people nonetheless.
