Sherwin, your tank is a very beautiful setup, definitely make a fantastic centrepiece for your living room. My opinion is to leave the fishes out, maybe only yamato shrimps to control the algae. I find peace and tranquility while viewing your tank, the fish movement will spoil the mood.

    Hi Sherwin

Nice...very nice....think if the oriental grows big, it may block off the nice wood ending either that or the leaves on the side of the wood may not grow nicely as the leaves will be very big.....perhaps a narrow leafed Echinodorus may do better........hormanii or a narrow leafed rubin?

    Jason,
Sadly it will be impossible to get another 4ft. Home and finace minister would not approve. It was a stroke of luck that I manage to get approval for this tank.

Anyway, yesterday I've added in 5 Altums already. Now I'm waiting for the lights to turn on to tank some pictures.
    Cheers!!

    Hello,

Agreed with WKS that your setup somehow emits a sense of tranquility when looking at it. Nice!

Sherwin, Altums look fine in your tank as they don't move quickly unless stressed. Avoid those fast moving fishes though.[]

they (altums) are aggressive in packs... in small grps they r slightly timid inital but will change when they adapt.. dun fill yr water to the top.. they luv to play near the surface... I lost one coz the water was too high
