    nice tank

is the hanging light Metal Halide ? I've seen some similar looking lights in shops and food courts that hang down like this, very bright and white and I wonder what type of bulb is that. Maybe we can use these for aquarium. MH is energy sapping.

    PeterKoh,

Not sure my MH Lights are the same as those in food courts but I suspect it could be. 1X70W is brighter than 2X36W FL lighting. So in the long run MH will be more economical. Also the life span of the MH Bulb too is longer.
    Cheers!!

    Hi Sherwin,

Just to clarify, you have two types of Cryptocoryne Balansae in your tank. The tall type and the short type. But I can only find one type in the books. How do we know which is the tall type and which is the short type. Was at Teo's and he just have one type (don't know tall or short).

Also, do you have any idea what's the maximum height that both types can grow up to?

    Appreciate you advice.

    Thanks!
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

Sherwin, your tank is a very beautiful setup, definitely make a fantastic centrepiece for your living room. My opinion is to leave the fishes out, maybe only yamato shrimps to control the algae. I find peace and tranquility while viewing your tank, the fish movement will spoil the mood.

    Benny,
The teo's balansae are kinda short. Can't comment on the max height yet. But the tall ones can grow to around 2ft.

    Thomas,
The shop that I bought is located at Veerasamy rd. Bought it for $160 without bulb. I wouldn't suggest you go there cos he has marked up his price since (feedback from others who enquired). There are other shops selling the similar light so if you could juz spend some time walking in that area, I'm sure you can get it.

Got the bulb separately from EYE lighting.

Refer to 'New MH Light Lobang' for more info.
    Cheers!!

Opps. I have the short type of Cryptocoryne Balansae!! Where can I get the long one and how do I tell them apart? I need the ones that can grow up to 2 ft for background.

    Thanks!

Hmmmm.... I bought some from him too, didn't know there was a short and tall version.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
