Currently, there is quite a number of shrimps food in the market.
Just to name a few, there are Shirakura, Ocean Nutrition, Hikari, UPs shrimp food ... etc
What does fellow members think is their no 1 choice ?
Mind sharing whats the reason behind your pick?

Let me start the ball rolling, my vote goes to Shirakura. I find my shrimps colouration improves greatly and they don't dirty the water . Not to forget they go "crazy" when I feed them with it

are these benefits only visible in CRS or do they give obvious benefits to other types of shrimp as well?

I am feeding them Haifeng and Hikari Crab Cusine. They are very funny when feed them with Haifeng, they take the pellets and run away with it......hide somewhere to eat by themselves.

Ask a stupid question, can't the shrimps eat normal flakes used to feed fish? Apologise for my ignorance.

Shrimps basically can eat almost any food that we give to the fishes.
However, specialized food for the shrimps will have its ingredients formulated toward the needs of the shrimps hence will help in enhancing the colour, growth, molting... etc.
From time to time I do give my shrimps some flakes meant for the fishes just to add varieties.

Hi bro Chee Jin, apart from what the bros here already said, i'd just like to add that bee shrimp's natural diet is largely algae/plant based, and alot of fish food is meat based to buff up the fish and also attract them to eat it, so its not suitable for CRS. Foods like Mosura are specially formulated and plant based and will bring out the best in your crs i guess = p Hope tt helps

    Cheers
