i still prefer same species schooling together.. looks nicer..

oh ok... so corys will school together regardless of species? last question, what do you think is the max no. of corys in a 2 ft tank?

Hio, you all,
this is Heiko Bleher and I just wanted to tell you:
Corrydoras that school together, are those that live together in nature, like:
1. Corydoras caudimaculatus with C. guapore and C. geryi, or
2. Corydoras haraldschultzi with C. sterbai, or
3. Corydoras araguaiaensis with C. macullifer;
4. Corydoras pygmaeus with C. hastatus, or
5. Corydoras adolfoi with C. burgessi and Co imitator,
etc.
And you should always have several of those together, that is at least 6-10 of each, sometime you need 15plus. because in nature they live in very large groups in schools. Speciall the pygmy corys in groups of thousands.
And do NOT forget to give them all fine white sand - that is a must (their morphologie in evolution adapted to soft underground and not rocky, stony areas... except for the pygmeus, which are open water swimmers and the barbatus-group).
All the best from one who has collected them for over half a century...
Always
Heiko Bleher
