    Hi all,

    - I am sure the cost of buying Brineshrimps each time will burn a hole in our pocket in the long run. So, is there anyone out there that would share with us here how can brineshrimps be rear, breed economically ?

    Thanks a million

    Hi all,

    - Har ? Seems like nobody really cultivate their own Brineshirmps Anyway, I have found out some infos (but not tested myself) and going to try out

    - I will need the Brineshrimp eggs, can be purchased at LAM Hong Aquarium, Blk 163, #01-476, Ang Mo Kio Ave 4. Tel : 64525780. Selling for $5 a bottle.

    - Will be getting a small tank (1 Ft. should be more than enough, I guessed), a pump to aerate the water for the eggs to hatch.

    - The water I will be using is seawater (1.021), throw some Live Rocks (pick from sea) into the tank.

    - The food that I am going to feed them will be Liquifry No.1 (For Egg Layers). Food for Baby Egg Laying fish, Brand is INTERPET (About $4.50 per bottle). The instructions have indicated that this Liquid Food can also be used to cultivate Brineshrimps.

Oh yeah, Simon have already posted mt Marine Tank in the 'MY TANKS' section. Thanks Simon [] [] []

Also, Notice something, the posting in this gallery is getting lesser each day... Hope we could spice up a little

    Cheers

marlin- tried liquidfry. Alone it doesn't work.

my current budget mixture is one teaspoon liquidfry,1/2 tsp instant yeast, abt 10g crushed cheap flake food,1 tablet crushed plankton & 20ml water. all strained thru a coffee strainer. u get milky light green liquid.
u can go without the plankton tablet & it still works- but need the flake for nutrition.

another thing is- square tanks dun work- u get too much die off- somethin round(pail/tupperware)with a gently bubbling from airline works best.
    i use KFC buckets(those 20 pieces chicken)

marlin, point i forgot to add. when u hatch the bbs- dun use the water in the hatching container as its already been polluted-u need to concerntrate the bbs then scoop up into grow-out tank.(bbs release a toxic compound when they hatch)

dun use any rocks in grow-out tanks(more places for dead space)- a single airline turning the water is fine.
using some old carbon would be ok to allow bacteria some media to live on.
