Anyone seen any normal Rams for sale in the Yishun LFSes? I'll be dropping by at Yishun this weekend to see tank sets at Aquastar, if it's still there, so any pointers would be nice. Just normal Rams though, not the balloon rams or those fancy strains.

You can try Y618 for normal ram males. I'm not sure whether they have it right now though.

I'm not sure where you stay but I've seen many at TB Ben's and Soon Heng at Henderson recently.

I live at Bukit Batok. Was at TB Ben's about 2 weeks ago. Bought 2 of the whiptail cats. Unfortunately both died in my hands.

Thank you all for the tips. I will have a look tomorrow when I drop by at Yishun. If I can't find any in the Yishun area LFS, I'll just drop by at C328 and Ben's if I have the time.

Thanks for the tip alechim. Looks like I will just drop by at Aquastar and Y932, if they are open on Saturday.

I might just give in and buy the nice Ram pair at C328 instead..

you can still try your luck at Y618, because they have new stocks of fishes and plants every tuesday. But the best is to call before you go down.

C328 is the best bet! they have a tank full of RAMs, the only problem is selecting the right pair and fishing them out. If you are going to C328, look out for 1 or 2 males inside the common tank, they are really gorgeous!

I understand what you mean. They must be those German Ram pairs. The ones I own are from the cheap Rams in one of the tanks to the right side of the shop, close to where the gravel bags are. They're in the same tank with some Honey Gouramis, beside a tank full of large Balloon Rams. I got mine from there, and for $2, they are amazingly colourful once settled in.

Dropping by at C328 later tonight to have a look. If I can't find a dominant male Ram from the cheap Rams, I'll just buy the German Ram pair.

Didn't know my thread got split into two until I checked it today. Anyway my pair of females are already laying eggs. Without a male to fertilise them they'll go to waste. As of this moment the pair are trying desperately to protect the eggs from the Cherry Barbs and other fish in the community tank.

The ones at C328 are too small. I bought 3 young "males" from that tank, a few days ago in the hopes that one will become dominant enough to mate with the females. Unfortunately the 2 females are too strong, so they're bullied into submission easily. I need to find a large Ram male with dominant colours, so he can easily out-muscle the dominant females.
