Get suitable soil like ADA, GEX or Magic to lower the pH of water.
But i think cherry don't do well in too acidic environment. Mine die off when pH reach 6.0 and below.
CRS can do well even in pH of 5.5.

Mosura brand of stuffs I think is optional.

    Thank for the advice.

Actually, re-setting up my tanks for shrimp. Just bought some cherries with some plants and cooling fan to lower temperature. It is necessary to have the soil? I have sand in tank. If my cherry do well, then I may get in some CRS.

Cherry are easier to keep as compared to CRS. Ever if the cherry survived in your sand setup, it doesn't neccessary mean that the environment is sutiable. You have to try it out, bro. However i would advise in getting either ADA or magic soil, it is worth to invest.

Hi bro, I can sense that your joy in seeing the new cherry shrimplets, which I had experience and good to hear that. Cherry shrimps is good for beginner to start with and is a hardy type which can survive at ambient temperature. My experience to rear crs which cause me a big hole in the pocket. Firstly, I bought 20 pcs. grade C. to try out and slowly all gone up the lorry ( meaning can't survive and need low temperature 24 to 25 degree celsius). Then try grade B. with 20 pcs. after two weeks left 3 pcs. survive, cause without proper gauging and equipments. Now have to invest on to bigger tank, chiller, external canister filter, Gex soil, PH tester, bio-chemical med, mosura food, ketapang leave and intend to 40 pcs. grade B crs, so be prepare if you are interest in keeping crs. I am not discouraging you but this is what I experiencing. For me I still haven't give up, got all this things which require inorder to breed crs. Just try your luck and may not have any problem. Cheers.
