hi bro, recently i bought a 2nd hand chiller as above. using it to chiller a 2ft tank. performance is kick in 2minute then standby 5 minute then kick in again. chiller set at 25c.
is this normal? can those using this chiller with similar setup please advice.
as of what i know. a chiller shouldnt be kicking in so often.

What is the flowrate you use to drive the chiller?

    bro,

your flow rate is insufficient, need to increase the flow rate.
there is an technical plate info at the back of the chiller, read it or you will spoilt the chiller's compressor.

you can change to an higher pump will do to increase the flow rate.

    hi,

I am using resun cl280, a 1/10 hp too and had the same pro. Chiller kick in 5 mins after 2 min chilling when connecting to eheim 2226. Tot increasing the flowrate will help, so brought a powerhead with a flow rate of 1000l/hr but same result so I took it out as i feel the overall flow is too strong for my 3ft tank together with the eheim. Currently, left it with the eheim only. Some say it might be my themosat problem... Looking for help too.
