    Hi all,

This is my first nano 1ft tank. After the shrimp massacre yesterday I got chance to re-scap the tank. The red plants are the ones that killed my shrimps

    The spec is here:
    Tank specs: 1ftx0.5x0.8
    Substrate - GeX red packing.
    filteration - Eden 501
    Temperature 23 - 25
    Light: 2x9W FL tube.

There is no creature inside yet, except a green shrimp to test the safety of water.
I'm newbie to aquascaping so please comment

Not bad bro... Maybe you can replace the solo standing rotala (I think) and fill up the bare ground with Jap hairgrass or glosso.

How about removing the picture you stick at the back of the tank and replace it with black oyama paper to create a contrast with the plants colour?

    It looks a bit cramped.

Do you have an ideal aquascape you are trying to achieve? A dark wild look? Or perhaps a fresh green field effect? Or one of those zen style approach with either rocks or branchy driftwood.

The current setup looks like you might be putting too many things in the tank. No specific subject of focus.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
