    hi all....just set up a new planted tank yesterday... got a DIY CO2 set with a diffuser...the CO2 is escaping into the water....but i got a layer of cloudy particles floating just above the diffuser...any idea what it is?

    its probably the solution leaking into your tank...i should think its harmless,if you have shrimps,give them a few days to clear it out.[] might want to consider having a small bottle filled with some water with 2 holes drilled to the top of the cap.put the tubing from the main co2 bottle thru one of the holes to the water and let it bubble there,so any impurities will be trapped in the bottle,then have another tubing from the second bottle to channel co2 into your tank...tt way the cottony stuff shouldn't be able to get into your tank...make sure the second tubing isn't in the water tho... other than tt...should be perfectly fine...i think[]
