its been 4 days since i've placed the riccia on the mesh. its showing slow signs of growth. the riccia is dark green in colour, i think due to insufficient light when i got it. my qns is how long will the riccia take to cover the mesh? and will the dark green riccia turn into its normal light green colour given sufficient light and co2? my tank is 5g with 18w PL diy co2. recently i've just changed 50% of the water and the plants seem to stop most of their bubbling. filteration None.

There is no fish in this tank?

Need to add a bit of fertiliser to kick start. Need a few fish to supply N & P. Otherwise, you may have to dose KNO3 & K2PO4.

Do it bit by bit and observe the reaction of the riccia.
