How to replace existing substrate with dressing sand?

Hi there,

I've the intention of replacing some of my ADA aquasoil with dressing sand in an already matured tank. I would want to replace the soil at the foreground. Any less hassle methods to advise? Thanks alot.

suck it using big size hose maybe 10mm hose

Yeah but before sucking need to have a wall retention. But how to support the wall?

Get a acrylic sheet that's the size of the tank?
That should work.

you can cut from those square take away plastic box.

I personnaly don't care it will mix a bit in the end anyway.

you can use those old acrylic sheet from any old light set you have
