    Hi All,

Like to check with you guys if i buy a 2nd hand chiller used previously on saltwater(marine) aquarium and like to use it for freshwater tank.

Will there be anything i need to do before using? Anything to take note or look out for?

just run it with fresh water to flush out any traces of salt water.
check for any signs of saltwater corrosion.

    Thanks Thomas for the advice.

By the way, where to check for saltwater corrosion? inside chiller tank compartment?
Means need to remove screws & remove outer casing of chiller?

I am interested in getting a Resun Chiller CL-300 or CL-280 or CL-650.
Does anyone know how much a new one of the above models cost in lfs?
    All info are greatly appreciated!!

check the outsides for obvious signs of leaks or corrosion.
try to 'peep' inside the casing to see if there are any signs of corrosion.
get some form of guarantee, a few days or a week.
