Trip to the Peruvian Amazonia 2008!

Hi guys,

I've been considering this for a while... and now finally got someone else interested!!

So, I am planning to join the April 20 expedition if everything works out well. Gecko has already cleared his schedule for the trip and it's a green light. So in case anyone else is interested, do start planning/let us know...

In summary, we pay about US$1445 for the 8 days land (or in this case river) tour. Extras will be the flight in and out as well as post and pre accomodation. Be prepared to fork about about additional S$3000 to S$4000 for that. It will be an experience of a life time. Given the weak US currency now and the reduction of the tour prices over the years. It's has never been cheaper to do something like that.

For Singaporeans, the connecting points into the US will be LA, San Francisco or New York. From there, fly to Lima and finally connect to Iquitos, where the tour starts.

If you can afford the time, you should seriously consider. Once you work, time will be a problem.

I should be able to afford the time.... as I still do not intend to work then... it's the physical stress and potential health hazards that scares me....

Read the itinerary from the link! It's a boat trip! No walking in the jungle. If I can take it, you can take it.
