I guess you should be a proud owner of that tank... Your layout of the wood and stones combination is impressive. Love to take a look at the real thing it must be even more impressive with the swaying vallis. Will stay tune for more of your scaping post...

Hi Justin, couldn't really tell the difference and you gave me the word....'fuller' is the word.

Agree that smaller leafed red plants will be great but I have had no luck with other red plants except this

So when are you showing us your tank?

    Hi Justin

Frankly, I myself don't really like this fish after observing them for a few days. But after putting them in the tank, I would have problem getting them out

We await eagerly your upcoming tank

I think it is a truly beautiful scape. If I have to nip-pick, I find the "flow" concentrated on the left hand side where the lovely swaying C. helferi and the Needle Leaves convey your intended message. On the right hand side, the rigid stems of the crypts and A. reineckii disrupts the "flow" slightly. You may want to consider adding another small clump of needle leave at rock base on the right hand side OR some C helfer spreading to the right, but not both to avoid having an overly symmetrical layout.

I believe you are adding white sand for the eventual photoshoot? It will brighten up the scape and do it more justice, though personally, I am not a huge fan of white sand! Just my humble opinion and again, a marvelous showpiece which I am sure will do really well.

Hi checkerboard, I understand what you meant. I also feel that the crypts has spoilt the overall layout. It would be nicer to have ow plants on the the left and right ends. In fact, I tried to take them out when I rescaped my tank. You will see from the first post they were there in the previous layout. They were deeply rooted in the soil after 2 years. No matter how I pulled, they aint coming out. Strange.. Does crypt behave such way? At the end of the day, I just left them there. Perhaps I just cut away the stems and leaves.. but i still can't plant anything with a matted slab of roots.

For aesthetic reason, may be white sand....

Overall, a very refreshing and neat presentation.

The foreground (bare area) needs a bit of work though. Dressing sand and some smaller pebbles/stones should complete the 'natural' feel.

I used 1 x Jebao or Jebo (can't remember the name), an external canister filter. Previously, this tank was a holding tank for excess plants and fish and I didn't want to spend too much on it.

Even though it is a small tank, the filter has a flow rate of 1000 L per hour. I need high rate to diffuse C02 via mist method and for better water circulation. It is less than a S$100 For a branded filter, it will cost about 2 to 3 times. So far so good after 3 years with no noise.

I might be wrong... I think Jebao is a knock-off of Jebo
