Now I remember, it may be Jebao I am using. Because Jebao is a knock-off of Jebo and Jebo is a knock-off of Eheim. And I remember I chose the most cheapo one of them all But it serves well and has a good flow rate for a mid-range size. No complaint and would recommend it.

The white sand makes the scape really special!!

Hope my eyes are working fine because previous few pictures were gravel like and not white sand in the last picture.

Mind me asking if the rasboras are top / mid / bottom swimmers?

White sand added last night and photo not final yet. Just wanted to snap to test out the effect

    Rasboras are normally mid swimmers.

    Hi Maurice,
It's my opinion, I think the white foreground does not match the plants. Why not match? Because the ground looks snowing season(cold) but the plant's strong essence more to tropical type (hot weather) you know what I mean, looks more to artificial display. I still prefer the original one you post (lapis sand) more natural. Hope not hurting you, hey!!! no heart feeling. That's my 2 cent thought.

Very nice now with the white sand. Really brightened and enhanced the scape.

The white sand looks a bit out of place with the plants deep colors.. prefer the original setup.

Relating back to the first time I've seen your tank, imho the feeling of flow was expressed strongly through the narrow java ferns while the swaying leaves at the back is the supporting actor. But now it's express through the swaying leaves at the back.
But anyway, out of the 3 tanks you've shown, I liked this the most.
    Goodluck.

Sharp observation you have made. Indeed, a planted tank is afterall a natural habitat which evolves through the passage of time. At the initial stage, the jave ferns seemed to attract the most attention when the rest of the plants were not mature. As the rest are fast growing plants, they have since overtaken the java to compete for attention

It seems like I have to change the title.

    Picture taken last night:-

I emailed this picture to my colleague and her immediate reply was '散花天雨'. Sounds good to me and could someone help me to translate in English?

white sand looks a little too bright and doesnt seems to match the red plants well i think.

anyway, the translation.. let me see..if direct it means 'scattering flower in the rain'? lol sounds awful.

lol imo, english name are harder to think of compared to chinese names, a few chinese words can easily convey a deep meaning, or somewhere there.

hehe... maybe you can setup aquascape naming competition...

    And my entry would be:

    舞动的青春

舞动 means dancing, moving, or even flow... which describe the dynamic flow in your tank
青春 means young, youth, vibrant, lively, hope and so on
青 green color, represented by your green plants
春 spring, represented by your red plants

In english... maybe Dancing of the Hengeli

    Just for the fun! Cheers!

Thanks for cracking the head to come out with a title. Agree with Hebi that very often Chinese words contain profound meaning in very few words. Translation in English may not fully describe what it really means.

舞动的青春 also sound good- my own translation using your definition (with limited understanding) - "The Flow of Early Spring'
