If you have a flow regulator on the filter, it should be fine. However, avoid substrate such as riversand as the strong current may make your tank messy.

I have a 2 ft tank running on an Eheim Pro II 2026 canister filter and I'm keeping various types of dwarf cichlids inside. No problems.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

Yes. You can use taps/double taps that are connected to your hose.
