Anyone has any problems about the placement of fans on five plan tanks with the black edges all round the tank? Do all the fan clamps fit? After trying out quite a few fans, i realized most clamps do not fit!
Recently faced this problem when my fan clamp broke off.
Managed to make a crudely fashioned hook out of curtain mounts that allows me to place my SUNON brand 12mm fan. Problem is, because the mounts are so crudely made i don't seem to get much control over angle which my fan is blowing!
Anyone here facing a similar problem or has a better idea on how i could improvise my situation?

I've attached my curtain mount DIY clips...As you can see, they're simply just bent and attached onto the fan. I got phobia the thing won't hold hence my decision to rest my fan onto the light set.Anyone else has better suggestions?

If you have space, may want to DIY a pair of hinges, then cable tie the fan to it, so it sits nicely on the edge of the tank.

you can consider tying 2 long sticks to the fan by cable ties.
rest one end of the long sticks on the tank edge and the other end on your light set.
