very futuristic looking but i wonder if cleaning will be any problem as there is very little access to the bottom tank.
not an aquascape per se. but isn't it awesome?

This ... thing ... certainly looks nice, but I've got some major issues with it.
First of all: fish bowls are notorious for not allowing sufficient gas exchange because of the very small surface compared to their volume. With this thing, there is only a tiny surface area at the very top, can anyone imagine a working oxidization in the bottom tanks? How is it supposed to be filtered anyway?
(Edit: Ah. I read on their web site: Undergravel filters in every sphere connected to an Eheim canister filter? Are they serious about that?)
Second: There is a good reason one should not keep fish in bowls, so much it is even illegal in some countries. Spherical walls interfere with a fish's lateral line organ. And this thing is nothing but spherical walls.
But then I really don't have to tell anyone who has had a fish tank before that this thing only looks "awesome" in the first few days after setup. Maintaining the bottom modules is next to impossible, and even the upper modules' connection looks like a nightmare to keep in a presentable state.
That being said: I really think the "habitrail for gerbils and hamsters" is a really funny idea. It just doesn't work with fish.
Cheers
