From what I know, FBN is a predator that hunts on land and also in water. It also needs to regularly get into the water. What I do not know is whether its skin will affect any fishes that come into contact with it. But I'm certain that it will be stressful for those small C.habrosus to live with a big predator in a small area.

I'm just voicing my concern from the corydoras side. Hope both will be able to live together and grow healthily in the vivarium.

    Cheers

    Hi,
Both fishes are found in different waters. So, they are certainly not perfectly suitable to be housed together.

i agree with you freshman. but yesterday when i feed the cory with frozen Bloodworms.. 1 of the newts join in to eat.. and i saw 5 cory swimming around the newts in search of food.. i don't think they are stress yet.. but who knows the newts might want to strike at them.. if they do look stress, guess i will have to transfer them to my 2ft tank. thanks!
