errrh i am a little confused with your question, why are you toggling your main valve (the valve that is attached to the cylinder) to adjust the regulator? you should be adjusting the needle valve?

even if you have turned off the main valve, there is still some compressed CO2 in the regulator chamber...unless you turn off the needle valve then there will be no CO2 flowing.....dont you have a solonoid?

Yes the CO2 left in the regulator takes some time to completely depressurise. I have a solution for your original problem. Click here. Scroll down to my post at the bottom of the first page. Also read the follow-ups after that.

Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:

hiya.....perhaps you may want to consider placing a solonoid...makes your job easier by attaching it to a timer........[]
