I think your "narrow" leaf java fern should be called needle leaf java fern instead. The narrow leaf one are commonly know as "phillippine" java fern.
Took a jam jar from my cupboard and decided to make a mini aquarium for Chinese New Year to entertain my nephews coming over to my place. Place some java moss weighed down by some coral rock pieces and salvinia natans.
Fauna is some pouch snails, a black molly fry, a white molly fry and a orange swordtail fry![]()
Swordtail fry peekaboo!
Pouch snails taken from one of the fountain at Changi Airport Terminal 1.
The pouch snails laid 3 patches of eggs. See if you can find them.
My favourite corner of the house
Picture of my planted tank taken in August 2007.
Updated Feb 2008 (pardon the blur picture). Plants have taken off and new growth from needle leave Java ferns.
Terrestrial plant bought from IKEA. Anyone know the name of this plant? I have "fed" it with Lushgro ferts and it seems to take off amazingly.

Yours Truly, Avan
I went into the woods because I wanted to live deliberately. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life... to put to rout all that was not life; and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.
