    It's a beauty...
Looks like bitaeniata's family. Anybody knows what does Apistogramma sp. "Chingano" in red colour means???

sp. means species. Used to denote an undescribed fish. I'm confused too if they should be in italics. Its not related to the Ap. bitaeniata complex. Its related to the Ap. pulchra complex instead.

Only the genus and species name are in Italics. Abbreviations like "sp.", "spp.", "cf." and "aff." are not.

Hmm... is the locality "Chingano" or "Chingarno"? Seems to be a reference to the river in Brazil, i.e. Rio Chingarno.

Realised the typo too. And yup, locality is Rio Chingarno. Thanks for pointing it out. Amended it.

You can ask Biotope aquarium if they are able to order for you. Alternatively, you can ship them in from ApistoworldHK.
