Another Apisto from forumer milk's collection

looks like a bitaeniata with a short dorsal very pretty fish

They belong to the Ap. biateniata group. This species have very long ventral fins.

Take good care of the female. This is the normal paucisquamis, the one i love is from novo with 2 yellow bands on the tail. Only know of one forumer yorky who got it last time but as usual the mate decided it's about time.

I have being trying to sawn this pair...but it seems rather difficult...Hummm...Will you like to have a try at it???Breeding them??i can actually leave the pair at your place??

No thanks Milk i got terrible experience with them. Had 2 pairs and both didn't make it in the end. It's really really difficult especially when they need 40 micro simens of water conductivity to spawn. Which means that i need a RO unit or ion exchange unit just to alter the conductivity of the water.

Is it a wild pair? if so, it's not going to be easy on the spawning. I'm hoping next time if i can get a F1 pair instead. The wild pairs are really wild. In the wild they are collected only once a year i think, during the high water season.

Anyway it's a prized specimen just to see them.

Nice fish indeed....but highly aggressive ones...
my last try with 2 pairs few years back also end up with either the male or female being killed...esp innocent looking small size female ay breeding coat...bad experience lah...

This pair when i got them, they seems really wild...and another species that came along with them are also wild...And i seriously think it's really wild based from the source i got them..Think you guys don't put toooo much hopes on me to spawn this pair...as i seriously think it's a big challange to me...But i will definately try my best to do it...

Don't put too much pressure on yourself. Just enjoy the hobby. I believe their conditioning might take up to 6-8months before spawn.

Very difficult to spawn apisto deems a high price tag.
