Have you managed to find spares for hydor?
Using a prime 10 and realized nobody has spares for it!
Say for instance your tap became faulty, you'll need to find a replacement in all the other generic brands out there?
Never tried removing the impeller though...always just run water through but never actually removing the thing? So do take caution when trying...if anything happens, part replacement is gonna be a bitch!
I now have both Hydor Prime 10 and 20. When I bought my Prime 20 at Wu Hu (Tiong Bahru), they take out all the parts and show me the impeller. Was told to take it out when washing the filter and rinse it clean to prolong the lifespan. They even change a new impeller when they found the original impeller not in good condition and told me they will keep parts for it too.
By the way, anybody knows where the fixed-o-ring suppose to be place on Hydor Prime 20? I accidentally left it out after a wash up and now I don't even know where to put it back..But lucky for me, it has been doing fine without it after a few months..

So bringing down entire cannister might actually help? Got a faulty Prime 10, just tested but impeller abit noisy. How do you actually remove the entire case to reach impeller anyway? Doesn't seem to have a catch of sorts? Do lemme know how much it cost you to get yours replaced as well?

After you open the Hydor, look at the upper part.
look from "inside".
althoguh it seems that it can not be taken apart,
in fact, it does open more, till you see the impeller
