    4) Substrate system: Bacter 100, Clear super, Penac W, Penac P, Tourmaline BC (Purchase from Biotope in loose form), Power sand s (Purchase some leftover from Biotope), Aquasoil II - 9kg
    5) Catalina CO2 tank with solenoid - From my old setup

I feel that the tank is still not ready as yet. I still need to trim the E.Tenellus and make it shorter and more compact. Hopefully, it can be completed within the next 4 weeks

nope not yet...probably end week.. didnt go for ADA because cannot seem to ship in time. I went for a customed 60cm x 40cm x 40cm (12mm thickness) braceless instead. 12mm for better insulation as I am intending to run my chiller at 23 degrees for CRS

    Hi Zoombee

I thought there is a 60cm x 30cm x 36cm ADA tank standing on the rack of Biotope? I am keeping CRS at 27degC. I seriously wonder whether it is really needed to drive the temperature to 23degC? The water will be very cold.

Hi bro, very nice setup and good chance to win if you take part in ADA contest for this year. Give yourself a try and represent AQ to win a prize and be proud for our community.

    Hi Cpark188

Well, there are many great participants. I have looked at the hongkong entries for 2007 and I believe they will be stronger in 2008. I will give my tank 4 more weeks to develop and probably give it a shot to gain some experience. Hopefully all of us in AQ can learn together and be better as a team

Hi William, the pictures are now perfect as it is if you intend to keep the plants low. Very impressive layout and looks calm and tranquil to me. Good chance for top prize

I like the white background picture. Erm.. take out the oto before another final shoot.

In terms of photographer, I feel there is a lot of room for improvement. I wonder those familiar with photography can give me some comments to improve?

    Hi, folks
As William asked me to take a look here and say something about…
I want to confess something honestly to all of you:
Actually, I’m not an Aquascaper… and I’m not clear about all the criteria connected with that aqua-genre,
    especially about the ADA competition!
I got plentiful of tanks(more than 60), but most of them are mainly functionally than aesthetic arranged…
Much are overstocked and plants are just for background…
other - just “plants-jungle” of growing plants for future decoration…
So, I’m not the man, who could give any professional advice about!
About the photos…I’m not a professional Photographer too!
Honestly, the photos at all, in that small resolution absolutely don’t satisfy me!
I like the BIG Photos with enough impressive details on it…especially the macro ones!
Then I can tell you what is my suggestion about…
Sorry, that I couldn’t be useful for this case.
    Camera used: CANON 350D
    Lenses: EF 50 mm/f2.5 Compact-Macro and EF 50 mm. f/1.8 II
    Ext. flashes:Canon Speedlite 430 and 580EX

For photography, the image can be further improved by flooding the tank with light, especially the foreground. Currently, a large part of your rocks are in the shadows. More water turbulence on the water surface will also add to the picture.

The monochrome version does not work well.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
