Gotten the idea of having a gradient/sloping substrate from ADA website

The cabinet can hold another similar tank behind actually... I might add another similar tank at the back, elevated for better viewing

Very good pictures taken for a planted tank journal, looking forward to future pictures of your setup.... Any idea what kind of scape you're doing?

Actually yes... I already have something in mind... will keep the suspense

How long should I wait before I can introduce some plants safely?

When will be the best time to add CO2 system?
    1) Now
    2) Upon introduction of first plant?
    3) When the tank is fully stocked?

Neat setup, it seem like you're going for "Iwagumi" scape, if than u need increase little bit more slope perhaps.

Jervis, just ask to ensure, placing your tank close to the front of the stand/ cabinet, is it balance? safe? the stand strong enough holding for this position? better be sure than sorry.

Ok I will see what I can do with more slope... I still have about 2kg gravel left.

Thanks for your concern, the cabinet is stable and safe. The vertical support covers the entire footprint (front to back). Furthermore this cabinet was designed for a tank 5 times the current volume.

Mine is as this; - soil ---- > water ---- > filter ---- > plants ---- > CO2 ---- > configure all timers, let start the engine, than go back to sleep & wait for the green under water forest forming.

I will fill the tank with 1/3 water, start the planting, will be fully planted. After planting, top up the water and hook up the filter and CO2. All done within the same day.

For filtration... I chose a simple Eheim Ecco 2232... quite impressed by the ease of use... a big improvement from the classic models

The water turned yellowish this morning Possibly caused by the Dennerle Deponit Mix Is it a cause for concern?

haha..some prefer to fill up tank water to the brim and then start planting. i don't really like planting in with water as my pincer are those short short ones.. not those long 30cm ones..

Err, I don't think you can cycle the tank without anything in the tank.
