need advice on my 4ft

problem:
1) floating particles in the water column, cannot seem to get rid of
have wash the filter just last week, change filter floss. invert the rainbar
against the glass

2) BBA is over, but now, i get slimy algae (not BGA) green slimy algae on
the corkbark, especially near the surface, plants which have reached to
the surface is always infected with it, tried introducing shrimps, my fishes
always eat them before they can do any cleaning. those algae are now on my mangrove root and bubbling too, $&^$*&*($^*#^

Eh... sounds like you just described BGA. Tested your NO3 recently? Try upping your CO2 and dosing 20ppm K weekly. Whatever algae it is, help the plants suck up the nutrients faster. How old is the substrate? Maybe your rosettes are slowing down due to low fert in the substrate? Try a Jobe or Horti sticks on your Echinodorus.

Floating particles... try stuffing your filter with more filter floss.

as for the particles, I oredi add more filter floss, could the reason be that
i position the inlet pipe behind my bushy rotala macrandra?

I have long remove all echindorus, now 95% r all stemmed plants

Yeah, could be the inlet positioning. If you have a spare small internal filter, and run it for a few hours to a day. Position it where you get a lot of particles floating by.

Simon, what is your kh/ph? Try up your CO2.

Turn off your substrate heater and see if it helps.

Can pass you some K too.

i will try everything for now.. I have now switched my substrate heater off,
will change the inlet and outlet position tonite

Simon, you mentioned that algae is growing on your cork bark. I suspect the cause lie with the debris trapped on the cork bark surface. This provides the algae with necessary nutrients for it to grow. In my opinion, the only solution is to remove the cork bark.
