    Algae is part of ecosystem. Algae usually associate with poor CO2 and circulation, especially they like woods, you can apply Seachem Excel directly to BBA and once solve you can apply ADA Phyton Git on the woods, algae will not grow on the woods for quite sometime. Btw i like your crypt setup.

    so when you say apply direct do you mean taking out the wood and applying it to the wood?

    Both ways can do, submersed you use a syringe on it, it will turn white and SAE will eat it. Immersed you can use brush.

    I thought it will turn red? Maybe different algae reacts differently. Thanks for sharing Adrian. Use to brush mine & watch them turn red when the water is raise.

    Hi guys,
    The algae outbreak.... it's no big deal .
    It's due to a potassium deficiency in the tank, so I start to some N and P and stared to add C02. Algae will disapear in a short period of time.
