I have a question here. Is it necessary to use both the normal suction inlet together with a surface skimmer? Or should i remove the normal inlet when i'm using the surface skimmer? Will it have better results if i use both of them together? Please advice. thanks.

How can you use both together?
I can't visualize that, unless you're talking about splitting the inlets?

Anyway, surface skimmer will take in water from the bottom as well... so I would say no, there's no need.
