    hi im just wondering how often do you have to change the bulb in the UV canister, or do i just rinse it? and how much will it cost?

    oh and sorry i know this is kinda noob question, but how do you cycle your tank? and what does it mean?

    I don't change the lamp til its spoilt. Do avoid touching it and especially looking directly at it when its on. As for price, it may cost you about $30 onwards - depending on wattage.

    well like with other light bulbs those UV loose their intensity after a while, so just make sure that you check up with your manufacturers directions in order to see the bulb life.
