I vote for gold backdrop. Black's too dark for your delightful scape. White's no good with black silicon. Blue's always seems too fake to me, but that's just my opinion.

i'd go with black for the background. looks the most natural and provides a nice contrast to your white sand
Yes it's damn irritating!!! Gold is quite soothing... or how about a high tech LED membrane lighting strip? A sample my supplier sent over for a job... the strip can be customized to any sizewow... amazing. But those black specks on white sand's pretty irritating huh?

for background colour, I will vote for Gradient Light Blue

Actually we use it for very thin advertisement panels and signage... but the light emitted is a little too weak for plant growth... don't really see any meaningful application in this hobby... well actually there is one... if it can change colour instantly... perhaps can use it to change the background colour of our tank depending on the timing of the day (synchronize with dimmable main lighting)This is out of the aquarium topic but can i ask what was the intended use for the LED strip? Just a quick update... bubbling on Java Moss... the tank is stabilizing

Really Damn Sad!!!
Tank's bacteria culture and bio-ecology is not stable yet, so there is the algae. Don't be too sad about it. Can help the yamatoes by doing a 50% water change and some manual removal of the algae. Adding more bacteria will help to stabilise the tank faster.
