    Hi,

Anybody using SERA CO2 Test Indicator? I noticed a layer of white cloudy substance formed on the underside of the device after some time. Wondering if this is toxic and will affect the water quality. Hmmm...

I did notice some of my Otos and SAEs nibbling at it occasionally, but the cloudy substance only seems to be getting thicker!

Also noticed two of the Otos' mouths has become slightly redder. Thought they were infected by the cloudy thing.

So it's perfectly safe to leave it alone?

I am using the SERA indicator. I had the same thing. I will go away after a few days or maybe a week. No problem faced. Never figured what was that.

Me got this problem with my JBL before. In my case some wormmy thing hatched from that cloud or net of whittish stuff. Don't know why but I only got it if my water is not in good condition (not hygene/clean). Now no more of that problem. But the white worm is the favourite of my seven pencil fish.

    Hey guys

Get a sucker mouth catfish (hypostomus punctatus) and your problem will be gone in a flash. They are voracious gobblers of slime, algae and whatever...

I used to have one and every surfaces in my tank was crystal clear. Then one faithful day, it died. And my tank was sucker-catfishless for a while...

and BOOM! slime everywhere, dark-green algae thrived on every leaf of my giant and dwarf anubias... FISH! What an ugly sight! My wife said all my plts are dying.[]

...then I ran like mad to the shop to get my angel... Within a day, my tank is back to good old days again, thks to my new sucker fish.

    cheers!
    mike
