I don't have much luck with it in my high-tech setup. In my case, it grew very slow and the strong lights caused algae to grow on it. It did better in my low-tech tank though.
I know ranmasatome has success with them.

Hi O2bubble
Why not you try C. Parva? It grows slow but it also forms a very nice carpet.
From my understanding, Lilaeopsis require a lot of light and it grows slow.
It is difficult to have it in good shape in high light conditions. In high light conditions they did still have quite good growth for me with a very rich substrate (I mixed in powersand with some of the land based ferts). But it is still much slower than E.T.
Hope this helps somewhat.

Well, I intend to try this for my newsetup..hehe
Thanks all. I have just done planting lb. Took me about 4 hours sorting and 6 hours planting nicely with high density. I have 4wpg, 30 ppm co2 and fertiliser dosing based on EI. Hopefully I can get a lawn soon.
Hi Bro O2bubble,
Seem like you are rescaping your tank, mind sharing some pictures with us?
Regards,

Been rescaping every weekends since last September. Just did a replacement of my tellenus background with lb. took me almost 2 hours just to get all the tellenus out like a floor mat by cutting slightly below the soil. Having to do it slowly and sucking muddy water out at the same time. One of my butterfly sucker died the next day but the rest of fishes and shrimps ok
