hi jimmy, my tank is slightly smaller from 2 feet by 10cm(2 feet is 60cm) hope you get what i'm trying to say.
just to highlight, for the pro series, be it pro 2224 or 2228, you are able to control the flowrate therefore i've no issue with that. likewise for you, if you gonna use the 2224.
as for chiller wise, it's rather subjective. i've ever came across a thread that some people are even using hc-150a(1/10hp) for a 1 footer tank(overkill?).
maybe you can consider hc-130a(1/15hp) over hc-100a(1/20hp)for your upcoming tank. but do note that the diferrence between your upcoming tank and mine is only by 5 cm. try comparing the prices between hc-150a and hc-130a first. if the pricing is not that much maybe you can consider hc-150a. reason being is that it'll take a shorter time chilling down your tank given the hp, thus lesser electricity bill
i maybe wrong.
another thing to note, maybe you should consider an external probe/ sensor which read the temperature directly from the tank, like other pros have done whom i've learnt from. this will lead to lesser kicking in of chiller and once again you may save on the utility bill.

just my 2 cents. cheers...
