I intend to replace the current ADA soil in my 2ft tank with GEX soil. The ADA soil has already broken down. The filter media is mature so is it necessary to cycle the tank again? As my 1ft tank of crs is getting overcrowded, I need to move them to that 2ft tank ASAP. How soon can I do so?

I transferred my ada soil from my 30cm to a 35cm cube in one night
step 1:I drained the water into several buckets
Step 2: Caught all the shrimp and put them in the bucket with the scape. (plants and wood)
Step 3:Manually picked up all the ada from my 30 to the 35 cm cube, put all the old soil into the new tank.
Step 4: Filled the water to 1/4 full tank was very cloudy so i drained it and repeated the process twice.
Step 5: poured all the water from the buckets into the new tank (still cloudy)
Step 6: put in all previous plants and wood
Step 7: added fresh water dechlorinated with stress zyme(i use prime now and it works alotttttttttttttt better)
Step 8: put in shrimps after the temp stablised
They all survived but one, and the tank is still cloudy but alot less.
4 berried shrimp in the new tank so thats good news held for 15 days today.
they use to drop within 3 days of being berried in the old tank.

Thats how i did it and only lost one shrimp and they are happier than ever now.

I have used stress zyme from api for a long time and had some water quality issues, im not entirely sure if it was just the product or a combination of things.
I have since started using prime and it has produced me 4 berried shrimps ever since i started using the product.

I intend to replace the 2ft tank currently with Aquasoil to GEX soil. The CRS now in a 1ft tank. The 2ft tank has already been running with a mature filter for years. Do I really need to run in the 2ft tank after I replace the soil before I move in the CRS?

What i would do in that situation is drain the 2ft tank and leave the water in buckets Remove all the aquasoil.
    Replace with the gex soil
fill it up half way with the dechlorinated tap water.
If the water is really cloudy don't run your filter yet.
Do a 75%water change add more tap water and if its not very cloudy start adding the matured water, driftwood rocks ect back into your tank.
    note: plants do help

    Run in your filter.
Test water parameters and temperature and if its all within range i don't see why you can't move the CRS in there.
