    Congrats!

Normally how long does the flower last? Or probably I should ask how long it takes for a crypts to flower ?
I guess it requires good amount of effort and a lot of patience.

If you get a newly harvested plant with budding flower, you can probably see it in 1-2 weeks.

Otherwise, the plants need to be stable and growing with correct parameters to flower.

Parameters such as humidity, ph, temperature and soil condition.

There are black water, fresh/rain water and alkalic water crypts which you may need to tweak.

For example, I use sphagnum moss for ferruginea and i use compost + coral for noritoi (alkalic).

Hi Roland, do you actually measure the PH of your soil? Or is it only based on estimation?

Not the soil, but the water.

For the soil, i estimate it. But for acidic environment, you should choose those acidic type as it could be much more or much less acidic inside the pot.

I intend to add some sphagnum moss to the soil. The sphagnum moss make the soil acidic right?
