Yes. I recall there are some stall selling wild betta in Chatuchak market. Not sure if they are still around. Rather tucked away in a corner.

I have been up in Thailand to catch wild bettas too. But that was many years ago. It was Betta sp. "mahachai" amongst other fishes.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

hey eman, let me know what you find up there...when i went to chatuchak last year there was only 1 wild betta shop, the rest were all show bettas. i wasn't into bettas at that time so i didn't look closely. i'll be going to bangkok again sometime this year so let me know what you/your friend find!

AVA allows a certain number of fishes in a specific volume of water.....unless its restricted or endangered species, the rest are ok to bring back....

Usually pack the fishes into water bottles for safe transportation.....less risk of bring crushed
