    There are black spots on my plants! Are they algae or what? Need help to get rid of them please

    No pictures yet but will try to post one as soon as possible. Looks to me like they are black breaded algae. But they are not the only ones. I bought a CAE, 2 shrimps and 2 horn snails. Will be getting another 2 oto and a whipped-tail catfish over this weekend.

    When no picture is supplied, a more comprehensive and detailed description may help.

    Such as plant name/type, details of "black spots" in question, etc.

    There are several plants out there that form black spots, microsorum is to name one.
